Believing that everyone is entitled to fair, honest, dedicated, and professional financial advice, Ian left the ranks of one of the leading Wall Street Firms in 2001 where he served as Financial Advisor in their Private Client Group to form his own financial services firm. Ian currently oversees operational and compliance requirements for 7 financial advisors, and develops investment and financial planning strategies for his own clients.
Prior to starting his career in the financial services industry over 12 years ago, Ian was a Management Consultant for Deloitte and IBM Global Services. Through these experiences, Ian developed the necessary skills, knowledge, and innovative mindset which he uses today in delivering a consultative approach in meeting the needs of his individual and business clients.
Ian has a Bachelor of Commerce with a double Major in Finance and Accounting and a Minor in Economics from McGill University. Ian currently serves as the Co-President of the Chicago McGill Alumni Branch and as a board member of the Canada U.S. Business Council – Chicago. Ian is an avid sportsman, playing golf, tennis and skiing. His lifelong passion is for hockey which he continues to play today. As a full time student, he played 4 years in the Quebec Junior Major Hockey League (semi-professional). This experience provided him with a high level of work ethics, discipline, commitment, and ability to drive for results; all attributes which he embodies in helping clients meet their goals.
